The herbal blends are specially formulated to our
requirements by an experienced herbalist. Particular care has been taken in their formulation to
ensure they are suitable for general use and are effective
across a wide spectrum of individuals. The basis for
selecting the individual herbs used in the blends, is that
they should be proved in clinical practice to be effective
but gentle in action, well-tolerated and with a minimum of
contra-indications.
The emphasis is on strengthening and restoring body
tissues and systems, in keeping with our philosophy to
promote health and encourage the body’s own healing
processes. Herbs to support the liver, kidney
and circulation form an important part of most of the
blends since the correct functioning of these organs is
central to the well being of each individual. Within each
mix these are then added to and complemented by other
herbs with specific functions according to the body system that is weakened.
We insist upon high quality raw materials which, as far as
possible, are organically grown. These are prepared by a
process of percolation or steeping of fresh plant material
to obtain the best possible extraction of active ingredients.
We mix the liquid extracts ourselves to retain maximum
control over the quality of the finished product.
Bearberry Plus supports healthy kidney function and aids in the dissolving and elimination of stones and crystal deposits. The beneficial ingredients in this formula such as Bearberry, Gravel Root, Hydrangea, Golden Rod and Nettle have diuretic, dissolving and soothing actions offering beneficial properties to kidney tissues. Marshmallow root contains a mucilaginous compound that soothes inflamed mucosal surfaces and can aid in the elimination of stones. Acerola Cherry, which adds a pleasant flavour, has a reputation for dissolving crystal deposits and is high in Vitamin C.

Devil’s Claw Plus contains a mix of herbs with anti-inflammatory and sedative properties to relieve joint and muscular aches and pains. White willow bark contains natural salicylates (aspirin precursors) and this - together with Devils Claw and Black Cohosh - reduces swelling and irritation. Echinacea stimulates and restores the immune system. May be used for both chronic and acute conditions to improve immune response and shorten infection time. Long term use strengthens the immune system and increases resistance to infection. Echinacea, Marigold, Wild Indigo and St Johns Wort all have stimulating effects on aspects of the immune response. Milk Thistle has an indirect effect via improvement of liver function.15 drops to be taken in water twice daily unless otherwise instructed by a healthcare professional. In cases of acute infection, dose frequency can be increased to up to 6 times daily. Should not be taken for more than 6 weeks at a time, followed by a 4 week break before resuming. Gingseng Plus is used as a restorative tonic for exhausted adrenals. Licorice, Borage, Sarasparilla and Ginseng all contain steroid-like compounds, which can be used as precursors in the synthesis of adrenal hormones. St Johns Wort, Thyme and Vervain all have a restorative and relaxing effect on the stressed nervous system, which often combines with adrenal exhaustion.
