Organic apricot kernels can be ground or chopped and sprinkled on hot vegetables, salads, baked potatoes, soups or cereals - or they can be nibbled as they are as a snack.
The apricot kernel is the soft part inside the seed of the apricot and it is one of the richest sources of vitamin B17 available. Many doctors, nutritionists and medical researchers believe that vitamin B17 is vitally important as the immune system’s ‘second line of defence’. Until about 150 years ago the average diet contained sufficient vitamin B17. Since industrialisation and the gradual switch to sweeter more refined foods, the average western diet is lacking in this powerful nutrient.
The seeds are also rich in protein and polyunsaturated fats. They also contain as much as 2 percent nitriloside. Nitrilosides are broken down by the body’s natural enzymes to produce benzoic acid (anti-rheumatic and antiseptic properties), salicylic acid (aspirin) and thiocyanates (often used in the treatment of hypertension).
Apricot kernels are also an alkaline forming food (pH 7.5-8.0) so can be a useful part of an alkalising diet. The recommended dosage is 1 kernel per day for each 20 pounds (or 10kg) of body weight. It is recommended that adequate levels of zinc are maintained for the maximum absorption of B17.
NutriVital organic apricot kernels are raw, pure and organic - free from pesticides, preservatives or additives.
The uses of a good quality coconut oil are virtually unlimited.
The coconuts used to create our coconut oil are certified organic,
meaning that they are grown without fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
Only good, mature, fresh, whole, undamaged coconuts are used.
The oil is made from the first pressing of the white flesh, using a
mechanical cold pressing method that presses oil from the coconut
without the use of heat. This preserves the natural goodness and ensures
the highest quality oil – and the maximum benefit to you.

Dried pineapple rings make the perfect between-meals-snack or addition to trail mix, smoothies or healthy sweet treats. It's perfect eaten after a meal to support digestion against bloating and chronic indigestion
Amongst the health-giving properties of pineapple is the fact that it contains bromelain, an enzyme that is assumed to aid protein digestion. Consuming pineapple either during or after a meal is thought to aid in overall digestion. Some people also claim that pineapple juice can help prevent nausea associated with morning or motion sickness. It is thought that bromelain may also offer support in cases of excessive inflammation or excessive coagulation of the blood.
Pineapple is an excellent source the trace mineral manganese, which is an essential cofactor in a number of enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defenses. For example, the key oxidative enzyme superoxide dismutase, which disarms free radicals produced within the mitochondria (the energy production factories within our cells), requires manganese. In addition to manganese, pineapple is a good source of thiamin, a B vitamin that acts as a cofactor in enzymatic reactions central to energy production.
The vitamin C which is abundant in pineapple is vital for the proper function of the immune system and it's also the body's primary water-soluble antioxidant, defending all aqueous areas of the body against free radicals that attack and damage cells.
NutriVital Organic dried pineapple rings are delicious, raw, and free from preservatives, sweeteners or additives.
Acidophilus is renowned to be of use for the balance of good and bad
bacteria in the bowel. It can be used to return the intestinal flora to
normal, healthy levels (natural flora levels may be affected by fungus
or antibiotics). Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum
form part of the body’s normal micro-flora and encourage a healthy
intestinal environment, promoting proper digestion and immune
function and supporting the body’s natural defences against infection,
inflammation, and disease.
The addition of FOS (fructooligosaccharides - short chain fatty acids),
which act as fuel for the growth and maintenance of beneficial gut
flora, makes this formula especially useful in cases of dysbiosis due to
pathogentic bacteria, fungal overgrowth, or following antibiotic use.
FOS have been shown to help improve calcium and magnesium
absorption, balance gut Ph, improve lipid profiles, and strengthen the
The B group vitamins work synergistically as co-factors for thousands
of enzymatic reactions in the body. Best known for their crucial role in
energy production and reactions of the Krebs cycle, B vitamins are also
vital for the breakdown and metabolism of fats, blood sugar control,
and fluid balance. They are especially effective at boosting energy during
times of physical and/or emotional stress, when these vitamins are
The health and proper functioning of the cardiovascular system
relies on B vitamins as they are involved in nerve conduction,
neurotransmitter synthesis, and proper muscle function, including that
of the heart.
Adequate B vitamins are required by the endocrine system, with B6
being particularly beneficial for balancing hormones in women with
symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. B vitamins also support the health
of the skin, hair, and nails.
NutriVital B complex contains B6 in the most easily
assimilated form of pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P). It also
includes choline and inositol which work in synergy
with B vitamins.
More than 80% of the population have digestive problems. Many of these
cases centre around a lack of digestive enzymes and low levels of HCL
HCL and Protease begins the digestive process, activating the denaturing
of proteins before pancreatic enzymes take over. As well as being essential
to proper digestion, HCL maintains an acidic environment in the stomach,
defending against harmful pathogenic bacteria.
HCL naturally declines as we age but its production can also be disrupted
by stress, infection, and nutrient deficiencies.
HCL production requires mineral salts. However, mineral absorption
relies on adequate levels of HCL. Supplementation of HCL can assist
the body to naturally produce more HCL itself. NutriVital has included
colloidal minerals to support the body’s own HCL production, as well as
plant-derived protease for optimum digestion of proteins.
