Home Remedies For Asthma
To complement our guidelines for managing the symptoms of athsma, the following natural – and in some cases, delicious – home-made remedies will be of use to asthmatics and anyone feeling generally under the weather in the winter months:
- Garlic Juice: extract juice from garlic. Mix 10–15 drops in warm water drink.
- Mix licorice and ginger together. Take ½ tablespoon in 1 cup of water.
- Drink a glass of 2/3 carrot juice, 1/3 spinach juice, 3 times a day.
- Make a paste using ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cumin and honey.
- A teaspoon a day of this mixture is very useful in keeping the chest clear.
- Create a liniment using eucalyptus oil, cinnamon oil or clove oil with a base oil – sesame would be the best for those with dry or infection type asthma or mustard for those with congestion type asthma – and apply to the chest.
- Cook a papaya for 40 minutes and take the syrup 4 times daily
